Essential Classes for Contractors

LatinoBuilt University Courses for Contractor Development are offered online or in-person at the LatinoBuilt Office at 8548 SW Apple Way, Portland, OR 97225. Instructors for all courses are active and respected industry professionals.

Upon completion of all courses within the four levels, participants receive a graduation certificate. The majority of these trainings are offered at no cost to members, thanks to our generous partners, sponsors and donors.

This cohort is made up of 14 classes that break down the process of estimating and bidding in the commercial industry. 

  • Contract Management

This course is a series of 5 classes that will teach students how to understand,use and the benefits of a contract. 

The SHP Training program is designed for LatinoBuilt members who are residential building professionals looking to enhance their building science knowledge add new skills to their “green building” toolkit, earn the SHP designation by Earth Advantage, and grow the energy efficiency side of your business.

This class will de delivered twice. One in the spring and one in the fall

  • How Cultural Bias Plays into Our Fragility
  • Assimilation and the Effects of Tokenism
  • Implementation of Equity and Equality

  • Banking, Budgets, Credit, Investing and How to Control Risks

Learn the essential of financials that will help you run your business.with this 5 class cohort. The classes are fully in Spanish
