Learn about Resilient and Healthy Home Upgrades

LatinoBuilt Green Contractors Program

Sustainable Buildings with high performance and healthy standards have almost become the expected industry standard in Oregon and Washington. Portland’s Climate Investment Plan, State dollars, Federal dollars, & other Energy Efficiency Industry investments have created a new industry for Residential and Commercial Energy Upgrades, and this is how our Green Contractors Program was born and why it’s relevant today.

We offer free higher-level technical training to our Member Contractors for access to the field they have historically been excluded from and to stay competitive in today’s fast-changing industry. LatinoBuilt University now offers a Green Construction Curriculum. Our course graduates can then pursue a pathway to become Home Energy Assessors, a great entry point into the energy efficiency industry. LatinoBuilt Contractors can then offer incentive-funded projects to their customers through our CPF Partnership with Energy Trust of Oregon.

LatinoBuilt is committed to servicing the Latino Community, especially low-income households & families in need of assistance, resources, and healthier homes. By connecting these Households with Contractors, we strive to create a win-win scenario for the Spanish-speaking community and beyond.

Learn About Energy Efficiency Funded Projects

Home Energy Assessments: Our course graduates Contractors are perfectly set up with all the fundamentals to confidently begin doing residential Home Energy Assessments (HEA’s) to Energy Trust Standards. Assessments are a visual comprehensive inspection that will identify all the recommended low-cost, medium, or higher-cost upgrades in a home to increase the household’s energy efficiency and resilience to extreme weather events.

LatinoBuilt offers HEA funding for eligible & referred customers through our Community Partner Funder partnership with Energy Trust of Oregon. Assessments are free of cost for the qualified customer. Contact us for more information, and we will connect you with a professional Home Energy Assessor.

CPF Funded Projects: Our priority is enabling access to energy efficiency and resilient measures for low-income households who need it most. To achieve this goal, LatinoBuilt Green Contractors (training graduates) can begin offering Efficiency Upgrade Measure projects with enhanced incentive funding, sometimes representing a no-cost installation to the homeowner. These projects and services are significant, with advantages to both sides of program participants.

These enhanced incentives are possible thanks to our Community Partner Funding (CPF) with Energy Trust of Oregon. Incentives and eligible measures include (not limited to) Attic Insulation, Wall Insulation, Floor Insulation, Air Sealing, Windows, Hybrid Water Heaters, Ductless or Ducted Heatpumps, Extended Capacity Heatpumps, High-Efficiency Gas Furnace, Smart Thermostats.
